My parents are Christians, and don't know I'm practicing magick. They think that it's evil. How do I do this?! I can't get supplies, I take a risk every time I use a spell, and I feel like I'm lying to my parents. Any suggestions?

You can tell your parents about your magick. You can provide them reasons why do you want to do this?
You should tell them that you are doing it for good purposes. And if you are doing it for good purposes after all they can believe you.
They are your parents so I think they are just protective of you.

I don't think that will turn out very well. I love my parents, but they're extreme when it comes to "witchcraft". If I told them, they would make me regret it. When I was little, my buddies and I would play magic. My parents saw us playing, stopped us, sat us all down, and told us how wrong it was. After that, I was forbidden to ever play with those kids again. If they felt so strongly about it then, how will they feel now?

hi,

well you could just concentrate on certain types of magick such as spoken spells, prayers or written magick like talismans. There are plenty of these books on amazon as well as other websitand you can download them onto your pc or kindle if you have one. If you need any pointing in that directions just mail me and i will recommend some titles.

really suckie situation, but you have to tell them. they're responsible for you, and as bad as this might feel, you need to tell them. once you turn 18 you can do whatever you want, but until said time, they're responsible.

now, what you should do is find as much information about magic [and/or whatever religious path you follow if any] when you feel the time is right, sit them down and ask to explain yourself. calmly explain your belief, stress it's not evil, that there's no devil or evil being, it comes down to a person's intent. tell them why you choose to practice, and what you get out of it. try to answer all their questions, and provide sites/book sources for them to read themselves.

granted, not all parents are as understanding as mine is, i get that, but hopefully they'll listen to everything. try not to fight, or argue, you might get upset if they say no, but try not to yell and scream. if they do say no, accept it. paganism teaches if you're meant to follow this path, you will return to it. 18 might feel a long ways away, but in the grand scheme of things it really isn't. on the upside though, you can still study things that don't seem to be involved with magic.

if your parents say no, you can study history, herbalism, cooking, candle-making, stones and crystals, genealogy, you could start a garden, take up sewing, meditate, learn about your chakra's, and many other things. they seemingly don't have much to do with magic, but they're things that you'll need to know and work with when casting spells. you're not casting, but you can still do things that are similar.

i was in the same spot you were. i live in a really christian home and im the only witch. about three years ago i told them. they were mad, sad, confused, and all of that stuff. but they got over it and i think eventually realized that its what i beleive and its a part of me. they dont support it but they dont really bash it either. i live in a bible belt to. just be able to explain to them why you beleive and pratice it and all will be well.
