Question spell

I am looking for a answer, I have a few 'Friends' locally that I would like to find out if they are true friends I always make an effort to contact them but have little back. I would like to find out if I should stop wasting my time. I have written a spell, but i am not used to casting. The spell came naturally, but I don't actually know how to cast it!
I am fairly sure I can do this, I have a natural energy for this stuff!

Try the spell. Start with casting your circle around you and your altar, (I personally cast it throughout the whole room). Next honour the four elements, Candles are a great way to do so. If you plan on honoring a deity, this would be the time to do so. Then cast your spell, just listen to your heart and it will show you the way.

Please don't assume you know all about it. Its not that kind of situation. I have some very good close friends and I am very good and friendly person. I am feeling very hurt but not just one but many! And this has been going on for year, at the moment I just feel fed up with wasting my energy on people that I should not!
If its not meant to be I will be able to deal with that and stop trying!
