Questions to ask yourself By: CHCSorceress / Novice

Why do you want to be a witch?
Try asking yourself these questions, if you have a hard time answering (take your time) them then try looking into other paths to help see if this is right for you.
Q1: What does being a witch mean to me?
Q2: What do I hope to achieve and learn?
Q3: What do I fear about following this path?
Q4: How do I see the Goddess and God?
Q5: What does the divine mean to me?
These questions came from a book but not sure which one. It was either Buckland or Cunningham.
I answered these and they are on the second page of my BOS right after a page with a Cunningham quote which says;
"Beautiful Goddess of many faces,
bless this book that it may enhance
all who choose to read it's pages;
Bless this book that my relationship
with you may continue to grow;
I pray to you that you will grace me
with your love and blessing.
-from Wicca by Scott Cunningham

I revisit them all the time to see if my answers would change over time. Answering them when you first start helps to find your path but asking after a bit of time has past help reconfirm that you have chosen the right path or that you may have to change it. This may mean that instead of practicing candle magick you may find that you would be better on the path as an herbal practioner instead and start learning this path from here on out,
or it may mean it is not right for you and you need to find a different path all together. Some have to try it before thy buy it (so to speak) and these questions my help them figure it out a little easier.
:) Blessed be.

I must say I love this quote as well:
"Life is like a blank canvas when you are born and it is up to you to fill it with lots of color." by Jodi A. Metcalf (Artist of watercolor and oil paintings)
Palmistry* is more common, also good post very good questions, I saw people list their benefits and negatives of the craft, if they had more they would tell about Magick if they didn't they would be secret.

For those looking to learn the Palmology path, here is a site I found that may give some more information.

FYI: Palmology is also known as Palmistry for those who may know one term and not the other, they are one in the same.

Thanks LVX, I just hope it might help.
Oh and thanks for letting them know the other more common term. I didn't get to see you did that until after the I posted it too. :)
