im new to magick

I am to but many people say to meditate, it's a good way to focus your energy and also keep researching magick. That's all I can tell you

I'd say start with the basics ,
Which are meditation , energy minipulation , grounding , centering , lots of research , lots of practice in these things , circle casting and visualization .
These things need to be practiced to quite a high level before a spell can be correctly performed . This means it can not be done and dusted in one night .
I'm 3 years into the practice and i still use most if not all of the basics in every spell I do .

i would say follow your heart research, grow but dont become delusional, delusion and narcissism are the enemys of all magick practitioners

be like iron flexible but solid. and remember meditation,study and experimentation

Keep a notebook of spells that work for you. :)

I agree with all of the aformentioned above. Also you can never go wrong with "M.V.P." (Meditation, Visuallization, and Practice)
as I like to call them
