Hello everyone, I'll start this from the very beginning... I used to go to a church just down the road from my house, I could walk there in 2 minutes, I also knew some neighbors that lived in a small house, the relatives of the house eventually moved out, I then noticed that the church I went to started to use the house to host services for kids, it was probably 2 months after they fist began using the house, that they moved out. Me, being a typical teenager (I was 14 at the time) wanted to investigate, so, I took my brother and his younger friend to the house with me, when I approached the small a-frame type insulation closets, I felt a presence, so I asked it what i could do to help it. surprisingly however, it sounded like a normal males voice when it told me "Get out, or I'll kill you." It was so clear, I'm sure anyone would understand the voice I heard. so I left for a while, about a year later I got a new friend, he believes in demons and ghosts, etc, like i do, I then became interested in different creatures, mainly werewolves and stuff of the like, oddly enough, two days after I learned what "the rake" was, my friend, who would not have known about my research on the rake told me about an encounter with a demon when he was younger, it had pale skin, one red eye, one dark piercing black eye, claw like figures... It couldn't match the description any better. he also said a ghost told him "run now, not safe" and pulled him away before the thing could claw him. he reported hearing the same exact "run now, not safe" in that old house next to the church, so we both think that the rake might have a home there! My main question, however, is how do I keep the rake away from me and my friend, we're both fine with confronting it together if needed.
Although I seriously could have gone my ENTIRE life without knowing the existence of that creature. I would advise you to stay away and surround yourself with protective magics of every kind.
It all comes doen to three things: Difference between your power and this "Rake's" power.
The intentions of both parties.
and finally the collective emotions around the entity.
Just also for curiousity's sake, what is the basic way that church preeches? E.g They focus on making you fear all demons and the like, or do they almost try to convince you that "the devil doesn't exist"?
Hey, sorry about the late reply, the church teaches that both Satan and God do exist, and they are a baptist church. on the side of emotions around the rake, I have not yet seen it, but I do ask the Lord I believe in to protect me from evil spirits when I sleep, as well as throughout the day. My friend however, reports seeing it the other week sitting at the end of his bed, but he says he closed his eyes so it might not attack him, he was not attacked by it. By the way, I normally sleep with a 7 inch knife (My dad does not allow real guns in the house, I don't trust guns anyways) in case of a thief, or any demon or creature.
Greywolf, I highly recommend you communicate with this daemon to ensure it does not hurt anyone you don't want it too. It may be nice that you have a connection with such a being, but it is a creature completely seperate from your will, I don't know why it has done this for you but it would be safest to learn why. Don't be afraid, daemons are rational creatures that rarely act out.
Trance, I guarantee that you have absolutely nothing to fear. No aspect of this creature poses any danger to you. For one, it has absolutely no religious elements to it, so you don't need to worry about the devil. Second, the Rake is a meme not unlike Slenderman, at worst you're dealing with some creature that just happens to look like it. Third, there is a very good reason to not be afraid. The reason why "monsters" are rare and haven't taken over is because humans defeated them all long ago. We've made this whole world our own, and the myths we forced from it haven't forgotten why they lost. Humans aren't the victims, but the victors. In the very rare cases where creatures like this come to prey on humans (or possibly our fears), all that is needed to defeat them is to assert yourself. They do not belong here, remind them of that and mark your territory. These things fear us far more than we fear them, and they remember that fear when we show none. Tell this thing to leave and it's choices will be to obey, or suffer whatever consequences you dream up. With magic and faith on your side, you are the most frightening thing in the world, someone with the power to control their own nightmares.
