i had a dream once, it was a place that id never been, but seemed familiar... through out the dream, i felt an intense fear... anyway, a well... mutual friend/aquaintance, was a vampire and she jumped on me and bit me on the neck and everything went black(in the dream) when i woke up, the fear was gone, and i felt hollow, HUNGRY, like no mater how much i ate, it still wasnt enough, and i KNEW, i knew what i had become, i was still dreaming, but then... i woke up.
any comments? and if youve had the same dream, or one similar to it, please let me know?
I have a dream dictionary that I use for any of my dreams that seem to stand out to me. I don't really put much faith in dream interpretation but it's still an interesting area of study nonetheless, and some of the interpretations are fairly interesting.
According to my book DreamDictionary: An A To Z Guide To Understanding Your Unconscious Mind the vampire, in dreams, can represent fear of emotional relationships, a person in your life that demands too much of you, a fear of the inability to be independent from our parents or spouse. Thus, our subconscious is essentially trying to help us work through these doubts and fears. The vampire then represents these fears and doubts sapping out our energy.
So, if you think this dream did have some deeper meaning, take a step back and think about it. Is there anything in your life that makes you worried about your independence, are there any relationships in your life that cause you unneeded emotional stress? Is there anyone that you feel demands too much of you? If so then perhaps you should try working through those issues (if any exist).
This of course is just one possible answer to your dream. Things that we dwell on before falling asleep can also play out in our dreams. There also is always the possibility that your dream is just a dream and nothing more in depth than that.
From my experience, dreams often play a part in Sight, meaning it is sometimes a medium in allowing you to see yourself (or others) in a different time. So your dream could be you seeing what you were or how you became it, in your post life, or could even be a perception of the future. Mind you, I said perception, meaning I don't think you'll become a vampire, but maybe something will happen that has made it appear that way.
and there are no other ways? i keep dreaming about vampyres for some reason... my latest dream had me marying a werewolf. are there any explanations for this dream?
these dreams of mine... when i dream them, it feels so REAL... like it is hapenning, but at the same time i am some how aware i am dreaming...please! i am confused and i want to know whats hapening to me!
I would put my money on Loniceras interpretation. Your dream simply means that in your waking life youre interacting with someone or are drawn to a person who you know deep down inside is not good for you. You see yourself turning into a vampire because at a certain level you realise that if you continue to interact with this person you will become like him/her. Your mind is telling you that this persons behavioural traits are already rubbing off you. The hunger you feel in this dream simply signifies a feeling of unfulfilment because of your interactions with this person. You are longing for somethinglove, recognition, power, sex, wealth, fame, etc. And you know that if you continue interacting with this not-so-good person, your desires will never be fulfilled. Sometimes dreaming of vampires relates to decisions about sex and virginity. It could also be symbolic of an addiction drugs, alcohol, certain people.
Let me assure that you are not turning into a blood sucking vampire. you never will. That's just fiction
Recurring dreams usually occur when you refuse to listen or pay attention to your subconscious mind. When you stop listening to your inner voice, it screams out loud in your dreams and continues screaming until you get the message.
However, do introspect a little. Once you stop denying what your mind is telling you, the dreams will also stop. But in the meantime, bathe in salt water before hitting the sack and keep an old rusted iron nail or key under pillow.
:) I dont think you'll have vampire dreams anymore. You seem to have understood what your subconscious mind was telling you. Do some introspection and figure out how to deal with this person, whether you are drawn to him/her or not.
