Did I Mess Up?...

Hello, everyone. A few days ago, I grew interested in spells and things of the sort. I read multiple things before I attempted to bless my cat (I had to say this: "Bast of beauty and grace,Protectress of the feline race,Shield (cat's name, Katniss) from harm,And keep her safe and warm.Watch over her from day to day,And guide her home if she should stray. And grant her much happiness,and a good life free of strife and stress."). I'm overly sure I pronounced the word strive wrong, and after I said this nothing really happened to my cat. I didn't really expect her to glow or whatever, but this is where I get nervous. After I said the words, I shivered a bunch, got goosebumps, and felt as if I was being watched. I had performed this task late last night, if that has to do with anything. The feelings have left, but I'm nervous. When I came downstairs, my usually quiet and timid dog kept barking at me and running away from me. Have I cursed my cat or brought a demon into my house? Please offer whatever advice you can (if you want to, that is), and thank you for reading this.

When you read multiple things before casting that spell, did you happen to look up who Bast is?

You essentially called on a Goddess to come bless your cat, but got nervous when you felt like something was there?

You should probably do more research into spell casting before you do it then. Especially if you are doing other people's spells.

Bast is an Egyptian Goddess associated with cat's. You were directly calling on a higher being in your spell.

See this is what happens when people randomly pick up and perform spells , without understanding them. Another common mistake you've made is to doubt whether your spell will work. The minute you do that, you slash down the chances of it working by half.

If I were you, I'd perform the spell again. And dont worry about language, grammar and pronunciation. Just use a language that's second nature to you and focus on your intention. Put thought, words and energy into the intention while reciting your incantation. Spirit beings understand intention better than language. The language is for us to voice our intention. And last but not the least, relax and believe in the outcome ;)

Look up information about the deity you are calling on.

There's plenty on her floating around the internet.
