I want 2 unlock memories

I'm looking to unlock child hood memories. I've had dreams of myself as a child & I was frightened dont know why. (a dark figure lingers around in my dreams.) The most recent dream I was standing in front of a dark door. Wanted to go in but I was too scared. I'd like to know what's behind that door. I know there's memory's that's blocked out. This is weighing heavy on me. I've tried lucid dreaming/meditation but no luck. Any ideas on how to unlock memories blocked out safely?
