So, I've been hearing of this technique or type of magick that people refer to as 'Weaponry'. I was wondering if anybody could help me by giving some tips and or techniques to learning the basics of this skill? Thank you.

For starters weaponry magick is not real. Magick isnt a physical thing like you can see a knife glow a bright red when u touch it. Secondly What I think could happen is that you can charge your "weapon" with your energy and make the object stronger in a sense (doesnt mean the knife can cut through steel).

it could also be the use of weaponry (swords, daggers, knives , axes , staffs etc) to direct energy in a non ritualistic format.
But pasht, is right. Magick is not a physical thing.

People in times of war used symbols and magick formulae inscribed on their swords, shields, etc to add to their effectiveness by asking that they were guided by the being/force the symbols or formula invoked.

Old Strega (Italian witchcraft) uses a variety of "weapons" in their magick to remove or banish spells, curses, afflictions, etc. in the idea that they are "killing" it or "threatening" it efficiently. They don't just limit themselves to a ritual knife/dagger, but use everything (including hammers). However an object works physically, it will work magickally within sympathetic workings. Any folk/low magick path utilizes this. The cauldron is a pot they would cook their food in over the fire/hearth, the knife/dagger was their utility/hunting knife, candles and fire was used because they didn't have electricity and central heat (although fire places/hearth fires/bonfires were used more). As you can see these weren't "magic" items at all but merely TOOLS, and every tool can be applied to magick if you're clever enough. ;)

What weaponry magic sounds like to me is a type of magic that involves the conjuration and channelling of malevolent energy. Using the weopens that you mean may talk about the use of a type of utility symbolized tools such as war water or bat's blood ink.

So weaponry magick could be equivalent to charging? Or couldn't be charming something?

The modern form, stems from the blessing of arms and armor, of today's law enforcement and military.

Practitioner's would anoint the said item, and say a ritual prayer, mostly for protection or not to do harm against the innocent.

In religion, it was the practice of blessing weapons before a battle, or using a "weapon" such as a sword or spear, instead of a wand during ritual practices.

There is also practice in which you use astral/metaphysical weapons to effect spirits. It requires an open 3rd eye but its a rather direct way of defending against spirits. Instead of preforming a ritual to banish a harmful spirit you just spiritually stab it

I read and hear about any number of terms that leave me wondering what the practitioner is questioning or sharing.

More than any other time in history, people feel free to change and create language as the mood arises and substitute imagination for disciplines and the like. This leads to many misconceptions. Unfortunately it leads to a great deal of wasted time and energy along the way, for those who don't know or care about the difference between fantasy and reality.

That being said: Do you wish to use magic as a weapon, and if so, in what way? ( What are your expectations?)

Or, do you wish to make something like a sword or axe more effective in battle?

Please be clear about what you have in mind. I assume you have a concept of what you want, if you are asking for training. If you are still interested that is. I realize this is a month old, which is 29 days, 23 hours and 59 minutes longer than the average attention span these day.

Cheers!
