What should be added

Im writing a paper for school about being wiccan/pagan/shamanistic and it would be awesome if people would add comments on what they believe is important to add. the paper is about clairifying steriotypes that most people have about this particular religion.

sure the very first stereotype is the witches, pagans, and wiccans are devil worshippers..I don't know much about satanism, but suppose is a different path from those mentioned above.

that was the first thing i clarifyed.

clarify the difference between real magic and that seen on television and movies

Well I know quite a few people that think that all wiccans are gothic/emo/depressed or whatever so that might be something to clarify.

on top of the two already mentioned you might want to point out the three are different things. [the old saying "all wiccans are witches, but not all witches are wiccan"] in regards to Wicca, [since i'm not sure what you are and aren't adding to this paper] point out it's a very new religion unlike Shamanism. most pagans [wiccan especially] are very peaceful earth based people who do not worship the devil, because they do not believe in a being of pure evil. i don't know much about Shamanism, so i can't think of much there, but maybe touch on the different types around the world.

What a wonderful idea of a topic to write about.

I think the people who already posted hit the main stereotypes (identifying that wiccans aren't devil worshippers, the difference between real witch and tv witch, and not all wiccans are witches).

I think you could also state that not everyone who practices magick looks like a witch or dresses gothic. They can look, act, and do the daily living (school/work) just like anyone in the world.
