The you and me is highly unlikely. However, another universe?
We really don't know, there are certainly galaxies the same as ours. Even planets very like ours. We really don't know what is out there!
I don't exactly believe in an alternate universe, or alternate "you's and mes". I do believe in a possibility of different dementions, however, as well as being able to open doors to allow things from other dementions in. Not really something I would say should be fooled with. There are so many things we can't explain or rationalize and would probably blow a gasket in our brains trying to comprehend it all. Everyone has they're own ideas for everything and if it can't be proven right or wrong, whose to say it's either? It's always fun to think about different possibilities though :)
Shore on the astral plane anyone can create their own world universe or what ever but they are not really alternate, but qontom (don't know how to spell they word just sound it out) theory's state that we create one every time when we half to make a decision
many believe there are other planes of existences [like ethral and astral] but you mean alternative universes like in comics? like in an alternate dimension everyone has green skin, another our genders are swapped, another we live underwater and so on and so on and so on? i feel the answers a no personally, but i won't rule out the possibility. it falls under the same category for me as aliens, do i believe green men are abducting our farmers? no. do i believe on a distant planet there's life similar to animals or plants? yes.
Many scientists (I know, saying science on a magic forum, kind of ironic. just hear me out) believe that there is a dimension for every possibility. Meaning any time anyone makes a decision, as many universes as there are possible answers to their decision are created in which that person makes each decision, and so on. There isn't any proof to this theory, but I thought it might be worth mentioning.
that is a current theory in quantum physics. Quantum physics explores the possibilities of alternate realities.
the classic example is (or one) Schrodinger's Cat. The cat is in a box with a substance that may become poisonous and kill the cat. Since the cat is in the box, we don't know if the poisonous substance affected it yet or if at all. Therefore, there are several possibilities that exist for the fate of the cat. One way to handle those possibilities is that there is an alternative universe or several with variable outcomes.
In this case the cat is both alive and dead simultaneously.
Alternative universes exist as one theory espousing the decoherent structure of reality. Another example is shining a light through a pinhole. QP will study all the possibilities of where the photons could go. Matter and energy react with our observable universe and become "entangled" but alternative universes will have different reaction. These alternative universes, however, are unobservable.
This is theoretical. No cats were actually harmed making this theoretical experiment
I hate using Wikipedia but it is a good start point to look at QP and QM of how alternative universes are one possibility
Yes, there are other universes out there. It has been scientifically proven.
No there are no other me and you in the other universes, they are VERY different than our own.
Yes, there are other dimensions. It also has been scientifically proven. Majority of the matter in our universe is traveling at speeds faster than the speed of light.
There are "other" me and you in this universe because everything is consciousness but it probably isn't how you would imagine it to be. Majority of humans have little to no real conception of the true state of reality because we have been brainwashed from birth to believe in a false reality.
What majority of humans know as reality is just a drop of water in the ocean. In order to expand into the other dimensions, you need to expand your senses. There are 360 senses total.

AncientOne, I believe that science has shown that there is a possibility of other Universes out there; but one can't say that science has proven that as a fact because we have not yet discovered those other Universes. Quantum physics only suggests the possibility. It is not proof.
