I have a friend who has been completely taken over by a spirit or something, we're not quite sure what it really is. He calls it "Sara" and says that she is "everything" to him. His thoughts are strange and he speaks in riddles. He claims that he has to "solve the global energy crisis" with her energy. I have no clue what to do to help him or how or if I should even intervene at all.
In m experience any creature that woul so arbitrarily possess a person wouldn't be concerned with "the global every crisis" furthermore if there was a spirit that was honestly concerned it wouldn't possess a person randomly. My honest suggestion(and please do not take offense) is it's either a midair issue or if it really is a possession then something more is going on.
You know I once did something simular for a year or so on some of my friends, at first I whas teasing them but then I thought hey this is fun and kept doing it (and when I whas done I pretended that I dont remember doing anything like that), actualy I had like 50 people in on it, base idea people tend to pool jokes and by how you described it it is, I know no entatie that would do that (a good one anyway, possession dos not sound like anything that a spirit who wants to solve the energy crises would do)
P.s. If your planing to get back at that person I would suggest playing the whole possession thing against your friend

Either your friend is joking or he is in need of mental help. There is such a thing as multiple personality disorder that would in fact result in the same behavior.
I find that people that are not sound of mind are indeed more spiritually attuned and this can confuse people and make them think the situation is 100% legitimate. But the truth of the matter is, their mind warps their reality, whether physical or spiritual. So although their instability helps them to experience things more readily (due to absence of natural mental filters), it equally prevents them from perceiving things clearly. That part of our mind that says "hey, this seems too fantastical" isn't working with them. And since the spiritual is far easier to warp with thought/emotion than the physical, it tends to get out of hand. If he is involved in magick he should stop before he hurts himself or others and should only focus on protection until he is in a healthier state of mind.
My best advice to you is to ignore this behavior of his directly but discuss it with his family. If it is a joke, it will definitely bite him back. And if it is not, you are doing him a favor by letting his family know about a potentially serious problem.
