Spells questions

On the last full moon, I performed my first spell. I came up with it myself, and it would fall under the love spell category. Not the "you don't know me but you'll fall madly in love with me type". More like the lets give us another chance and only let our feelings guide us type. Anyway, one question I had was that while the candle representing me burned normally, the candle representing him burned higher and quicker. Any thoughts on the meaning ? Also, how do you normally feel afterwards? Both short and longer term. Immediately after I was very tired and went to sleep. I actually forgot about the spell until halfway through the next day! A few weird things have happened. Could be coincidental, I'm not sure. A coworker of mine who shares a name with the guy I like is suddenly being mentioned all the time. I mean I forgot this person worked there. She's on mid nights and I work days so we never work together and yet in the past week every single day I worked somebody had to say something about her to me. And the other thing is I have part of the soundtrack to a movie this guy and I watched together once on my IPod. Every time I turn my IPod one of those songs is the first track to play. I have over 700 songs and only about 10 are from that movie and yet every time.......

Well just a few questions I had. Any thought, ideas?
