candle cleanseing

Hi I've read two diff ways to cleanse a candle one is seat salt other is rubbing alcohol. Which is right???

You can do whatever you want. The most important thing is visualizing the energy being cleaned off. The physical action is just to make it easier for us to understand. Salt is used very often for magickal cleaning, so that might work well for you.
