TO WHAT EXTENT DOES WITCHCRAFT AND WICCA RELATED?

Often, witchcraft is mentioned in connection with wicca.One wonders, how they are related!

while people study and practice both, witchcraft is a practice, while Wicca is a religion. if you cast spells, you do witchcraft, if you pray to the God and Goddess, follow the Wiccan Rede, the Threefold Law, and the eight Sabbats, you practice Wicca. just because you cast spells doesn't mean you're Wiccan. basically, that's the different. it's the same as saying all Wiccans are witches, but not all witches are Wiccan. it's a title, the two are similar, but Wicca is a religion, witchcraft is a study. [some do celebrate certain holidays, and do pray to deities, but it does not follow the same rules as the Wiccan religion.]

I would like to correct Nekoshema on one part.

Witchcraft is not just about casting spells. Witchcraft has so many other components in it. Casting spells is just magick. Magick is a component of witchcraft and casting spells, alone, does not mean you are doing witchcraft.

Besides.. Not all witches do spells.

I have been a witch for over seventy years. I have never cast a spell,apart from childhood spells such as blowing out the candles on a cake. My witch teacher never cast a spell in her life!
Witchcraft itself has nothing to do with spells, although some witches do cast spells. Witchcraft is really a Craft, and a search for knowledge and enlightenment. As has been said, not even all Wiccans cast spells!
