I have been dealing in energy work for some time now but still have not figured out why I will get headaches?
I know that I have spirits or intelligent non human entities around me when I get a certain kind of headache. When I remember this, which isn't always, I can focus on pushing away the energy that is around me and my headache will immediately disappear. Or shield myself. Both seem to work.
But my question is what causes these headaches in the first place.
Is it a good it bad thing?
Hoping to hear from seasoned practitioners.
Thank you

I got the same feeling, but I prefer to think that this is just a coincidence (in my case). Many times and because of my work /time, I got headaches very often, but last week, happened in a specific hour with no reason. I focus in my breath and try to relax, and think that this is solved and going to disappear. Sometimes works, so, not sure if that depends of our "mind or just psychologic thing" or if that really changed. Make different tries and see if there is a pattern.

The headaches could come from more mundane means, but what you describe sounds like something's trying to get your attention. If you try to listen and the headache persists, it might be either mundane or malevolent. Pushing it away and it stops could mean that it was also either mundane or malevolent. If, whatever you try, the headache goes away but you get a sense of something, such as "go here, you're needed here" or some other message-laced feeling, then it was just trying to get your attention. If, whatever you try, the headache simply goes away, it was either mundane or malevolent.

My first thought would be, are you grounding and centering properly before and after you do your spellwork. Failure to do so when engaged in energy work can easily cause headaches among other things.
I agree with Lark too but sometimes I have been taking a walk down the street and I can sense energies around me trying to influence me or get my attention as someone else commented.
I don't ground myself everytime I leave the house but maybe I should start doing that first thing in the morning when I awaken and see if that has any effect.
When I go out in public and know there is a possibility of being around negative people and their energy I do the grounding. And it does help.
But for everyday morning meditation grounding do suggest a time frame or amount of time I spend?
