i'm working on a project with some friends and i'm in need of Uriels help to be specific i can't seem to find much on how to call on him i've got his sigil and ALOT of stories but thats about as far as i seem to be able to take this sofar if anuone can help point me in the right direction that'd be awesome
Angels don't like to be summoned in such ways. Of course they can be called upon for protection or insight but depending on what you need them for you might be let down.Perhaps you can try asking for Uriel to present to you in a dream or give you a sign. It is very rare that an angel would give physical form especially from being called upon. Uriel means "light of god". So as such Uriel would only come to you if your intention was pure.
You could try praying to him. Have you wored with him at all in the past? If not, I would suggest trying something like the lbrp. Every time I use it, I feel a connection to the archangels that are being called upon. You can feel their presence, their energy, during the ritual and it could help you to feel more acquianted. At least it worked for me :) Best wishes in your endeavors
You can't summon an Angel just like that! Angels usually just give
protection, and they rarely present on physical form so I recommend
you to send him some prayers...
Actually, Angelic evocation is a thing and can be done. I do not also see it as rude as you are petitioning them to appear, not forcing them- the idea that evocation/summoning is offensive or rude originated a couple of years ago on this site- I would guess from people who have not really practiced evocation!
Anyone who practices the LBRP technically evokes Uriel every time!
You can modify the goetia rituals to fit with evoking an angel- you can, and I believe should, reword the rite to make it more polite.
The process is simple. Invoke divine energy into yourelf, affirm you are the god of your universe (your temple and self), Use your authority to cal up te being, make it be present, ask it questions, give thanks, banish- write up results. Hey presto, you have an evocation.
I must add, it can take some skill to successfully evoke a spirit, to a good extent anyway. It is certainly not a beginners practice and if you have not got the basics down, you should no be practicing it.
I've incomes and evoked a spirit before. I personally don't see the difference in summoning and evocation, except the fact summoning isn't giving them a choice but to come.
