I'm new to Wicca, so right now besides studying the origins of Wicca( which I did before I embraced it obviously>). I"m working on grounding and Energy Circles.
I've been doing meditation for yrs, but am embarrassed to say, I still have trouble shutting my brain off! Type A personality!But working on quieting my mind.
I know I need to build energy before I can do any spell casting,I also am working on my Spirit Guide.
I don't know if I'm trying too much, or too hard, I feel stuck. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Blessed Be.
Welcome to Spells of Magic, if you are new to Wicca, one person you should talk to, that I know, knows lots of information on books, site,.etc. is Lark, you can find her on the Moderators Tab or if she is online you can find her in the "Members" tab.
Yes I've been reading some posts, and I see Lark and read her bio somewhere on here. First it's nice to know I'm not the only one who's not a teen or college student!
But on a serious note she seem's very wise indeed. She has studies a long time, so I will learn as much as I can from her as I find her posts here and there>:) And others as well.

Well your not alone, we are never alone oblivously. There are many people on this path who are alone, but this is what this site is for...it's for a second home, and family.
Also Eyes is right! Try asking Lark, and maybe AkashaWolfe..she's skilled in wicca but also Shamanism. Maybe try Zrosach also.
I also suggest joining a coven. Many help out newbies.

So far if feel drawn to Lark for whatever reason, so I will start there.
I was reading about a year and a day in one of my books, don't know, i will go back and see what it says, see if I need to dig deeper.

I did see there is one for everybody, I may join that if I don't here back from the other. I really prefer the one I chose, but I applied, may a couple days ago. Still nothing, don't know how long it takes. I will see Monday i guess.
