Merry meet!
Hurray! It is almost Samhain! I am so excited about it this year for some reason. I was wondering...who else is? What are y'all doing this Samhain? I'm looking forward to performing a ritual for the Sabbat. Let me know!
Blessed be!
Sadly nothing this year, my coven is busy so we can't do our normal meal, ritual, tarot readings, or speaking with spirits. It's solitary for me, not a bad thing, it's just more fun with a group. Might go out on a double date with my boyfriend, my friend, and her husband for dinner. That's about it for my plans but it's better than nothing lol.
This will be my first one, and I'll be doing it alone.
So I hope I do it right and maybe if there is a short/sweet way.
Don't want to be disrespectful, but I will be alone, so don't want to gone on a long time either. Not sure any suggestions? Blessed Be.
I will be celebrating Samhain with my coven. We will have a ritual to honor our ancestors and our beloved dead, and then we will do readings and scrying to see what the next year might bring. After ritual we will sit down to a bountiful harvest feast and then an evening of merriment and socializing.
I'm celebrating with my coven. Getting there early because I volunteered to do Tarot readings this year. We eat, play games, and do a couple divinations for fun, then have our circle around 11. Luckily I don't have work the next day so I might stay for the Ouija session at 3. I haven't been the last couple years, so I might stay to watch if I'm awake enough anyway.
I am solitary, I am still going trick or treating but around early supper time. Owill then get back around 9-10 and celebrate. I might bring an offering, and leave it outside my door. Have a good holiday guys, blessed be.
I probably will perform my Samhain ritual and do some divination and work with spirits. And yes, trick or treating!
Samhain is one of my favourite Sabbats but it's also one of the hardest for me. So many of us are trying to educate people about the truth of witches and magick. For me, it feels like all that effort is for none sometimes around Samhain. I see offending things about magick or witches(I went to a haunted house yesterday that explicitly showed how ALL witches were satanic, evil, performed human sacrifice etc.) and I get so frustrated and upset by that. I try to tell people gently that witches were actually woman or men who were knowledgable in herbs, or were close to nature, and how magick is not evil at all! No one listens though. :/
Other then that, I absolutely love Samhain. I apologize for the rant aha. Have a blessed Samhain. :)
I took a walk through my local graveyard (the older part since for some reason I hate the new part) Then I left an offering for Demeter and did a short ritual.
