Question about meditation

I am not having mediation problems as to doing them. My problem arises afterwards. I tend to feel very emotional. Anyone have any ideas as to why, or how to stop it from happening

Why would you want to stop it? It's good to be emotional. It means your body and mind are releasing somethings they have stored over the years. Some sort of hidden pain or anger.

In some cases you could say it's like masturbation. Some get very emotional afterwards and have a good cry. But that is not a bad thing. It is your mind releasing chemicals and hormones. And, those that do cry after they are finished, tend to feel more relaxed since they are totally relaxed now and have let go of past negativities.

I wouldn't want to stop it, it could be very beneficial to you and a sign that your chakras are opening, or one is much more open that the others which causes an imbalance.

I tend to agree with Dukali, on this point. There is a reason you are feeling this way... Meditation can be like therapy. It's catharsis! Your body ridding you of things that no longer serve a purpose for you. Give yourself time to cry or rage or mope or whatever you are feeling. Listen to your body; know your body; trust your body... Having a good relationship with your body will really help you in the long run.

I want to thank you. For a while I feel like I am losing it. Mediation is beautiful, relaxing. Then afterwards I am tearful, depressed. It does go away.

I can relate to letting it go for it is a healing process.

Natural... Basically you`ve been sensitive this whole time, you just happen to express it after you`ve meditated
