Just starting out

Hey there I've been looking at this site for awhile now and today I finaly broke down and signed up. I'm hoping to make new friends here and if anyone can tell me a good palce for a first timer like me to start that would be a big help

Wake i would start with meditation and get to know yourself better (soul preferably) before you move on to spells. and astai(sp?) l projection too after meditation of course

Ok I don't think i've grasped the consept of meditation. I know that i'm supose to clear my mind but what do i do then?
