I want to know what I can do with magic. I've heard all about what I can't do, I can't change form, I can't shoot fire, I can't do this, I can't do that. I know, I can use common sense, but I want to know what I CAN do. Can I summon spirits? If so, what kinds? The problem is that most of the spells on this site don't work and I don't know where to start.
In order to know what you can, and cannot, do; you first have to understand what magic is.
Magic is the changing of one or more things into something totally different. And there is nothing supernatural about it. It is as natural as breathing!
It can become very complicated, but to take a very simple example. If you press apples and extract the juice. Then ferment the juice. You have changed the apples into something else--cider! That's magic, in a simple form.
Magic can do many things, but it cannot change the law of physics.
Anything that doesn't go against the laws of physics, like flying. However, this goes along with the DNA "rules", you can create spells that speed up your metabolism and you can boost your body's energy through meditation and other forms of care, so there is the possibility that you can do things like hair growth spells, but they are not instantaneous. Magick takes time, patience, belief, and practice. It also requires a foundation of skills to help you in the beginning, which some people recommend as "the basics". There are several forms of magick, and some that I know are: Divination, enchantments, potions, spirit communication (although that isn't so much magick as it is actually just someone opening up their higher senses to interact with beings that have moved on from this realm), energy manipulation, energy healing, wish spells, love magick, and a lot more that I don't have time to state right now!
Magick can also be about improving yourself and strengthening your soul. Learning things about yourself you never knew. Magick is always a personal thing; while some use it for themselves, others use it for people around them (given their permission). As said before, Magick is Vast and endless. Learning the basics will help you figure what you can do.
Epicosity, there is nothing on your profile, so it is difficult to help you. Most of the posts written above are "beliefs"; not magic! Magic is not a belief! It is real, and actual. It can be demonstrated. But it is difficult, if not impossible, to learn magic just by reading about it. You have to be "shown" magic. I was lucky in having a real witch as a personal teacher. Not many are so lucky! But, until you actually witness magic working, you can never really understand what it is, and what it can do. You cannot learn it "on-line"! That is why experienced Mods and knowledgeable members do not attempt to teach! It needs a "personal" teacher.
hi there yes all you can do is to learn and study, I myself read lots of spell books and what magic is all about well some of it as its a big subject, all I can advise is that you learn the craft again by using this website and they have classes that help you learn on this forum.
I state it yet again. You cannot learn magic merely by reading about it. Spells may very well have something to do with magic; but magic has nothing to do with spells per se! I have never cast a spell in my life! And I have used magic many,many times; especially dowsing.
