Hello, I am new to the magical world but determined. I want to dabble more into black magic but I do not know where to even start with everything there is to know. I kinda want to learn everything there is about magic but not just the dark arts. I am looking for someone who can guide and motivate me.
Motivate you? You need to do that yourself. Why should someone else motivate you if you are the one wanting to learn?
Many people on this site do not take on students due to the fact that personal experience is very important in magic. It is hard to be taught something if teacher and student live miles, states, or even countries apart.
Besides, if you want to know where to start I would suggest you search the forums for basics such as meditation, grounding, centering, visualization, and energy manipulation. That is where you begin. You can also read up on Paganism and see all the different sorts of paths to take and which one you feel is right for you.
Magic is not black or white. It is magic. What makes it "black" or "white" is the intention of the caster.
People on here will help with guiding you, but I doubt they will be a teacher. Also, most people on here do not spoon feed, which means help yourself first. Do all the research you can first. If it can be found in the forums, look there. If not research on the internet and if you are still unsure, then you can ask on here.
But of course, everyone has their own ways. From my time on here, this is what I have seen and I surely do not spoon feed, but I will help someone get started.
Dukali is right,
Most will not take students online. Its hard to teach someone at a distance. You need to find someone close to you. you can learn more online though, and ask questions about specific things. Try not to ask general questions, as that makes others think you haven't tried and found out anything for yourself.
Just like anything else in life:
The more effort you put into something, the more you will get back.
Throw yourself into the craft you want to follow and ask detailed questions when you get lost. Mean while, you can look around you for a mentor. Maybe its a mentor that isn't really into magic, but is someone who can help ground and guide you.
Well, if you're serious about learning how to do magic and with starting from the rock-bottom then you don't start out by casting spells, you start out by learning how and why magic works.
You see, there is no such thing as an "easy" spell or a "beginner" spell. One either understands how magic works and has mastered the basics...in which case the magic will work..or you haven't done that sort of work..and no spell will work no matter how "easy" it seems.
Casting a successful spell involves much more than finding some spell on the internet or in a book, saying some words, lighting a candle, waving a wand of any of that sort of thing. In order for magic to work you need to understand how and why it works in the first place. Grounding and centering, visualization, focus and intent, energy manipulation, etc are all necessary first steps to even begin to have a chance at a spell actually working...and more importantly to prevent a spell from back-firing on you.
So, my advice for anyone who is truly serious is to start by reading a few books and practicing the exercises those books will give you. Once you have mastered the basics you won't need anyone to give you spells, you'll be able to create your own spells that will be far more effective than anything you find on the net. Here's the books I suggest:
"Before You Cast a Spell" by Carl McColman
"Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar
