You might want to give some more detail because it could be anything from washing the mark with salt water to a full ritual to reverse and defend against the effects.

What does that even mean? What does this experience feel like? Magick is not some internal force we reach and call upon, it is something we do. What you have said is the rough equivalent of "When I try to make dinner I can't reach my cooking."
