"Spell comes at a price"?

It's a simple chant to increase confidence. How is that any harmful not taking away anybody's free will!? At least the site says in that section the following: "However these spells do come at a price. They must be cast exactly as stated. Any mistake can destroy what little confidence there is, or worse...."
The chant:
Gods and goddesses I call upon thee.
To lend me the courage and bravery I need.
I am daring, dashing and cool.
My spirit is unbreakable, my resolution untakeable.
With courage of a lion I become,
So that can overcome.

So is that really dangerous to be cast?

Thank you for taking time to read this..! I'm looking forward the response..

As far as I know, there is no spell to make someone lose their free will, just sort of manipulates it.

A spell for courage or bravery I would not count as even affecting free will.

But literally all magic comes at a price, no matter if its not noticeable or obvious, there is always a price.

Its probably dangerous because it calls upon god(desse)s, if you mess up and it angers them, I guess something bad will happen.

there is no harmful spell but the one that is intended to be harmful as far as i'm concerned, and this doesn't seem to be possible to use in any contekst that i can think of in which this could be possibly harmful to anyone, but this question makes me think you are new to magic and you don't start out with spells, just saying

Spells can backfire, but I doubt this one will, I think it was put in to sound more serious. Confidence chants are like affirmations, believe the words and you'll feel more confident. Yes, the energy put in can effect the energy around you, but you get my point, the chant pumps you up so you feel confident. Give it a shot and don't worry about the warning, it sounds like a self-fulfilling prophecy [you cast, go to school, trip, and begin to worry the spell backfired and you bring negativity your way]

From what I taught is that spells that come at a cost are ones that harm another, or ones that don't have enough detail. For example you shouldn't just do a spell for weight loss because you could end up in an accident where you may loss your leg, so the spell would work but not the way you wanted. I would say the confidence spell is safe to cast since I can't find any holes in it. Good luck with it.

i would disagree with atumnbay as the words don't really matter much its the intend so if theoretically you whore to do a weight loss spell and it would turn out like that you probably whore focusing or more likely worried (same thing as when you worry you have no choice but to focus on what you are worrying about) on loosing a lag
