So i might have been dumb and reckless and just tried something out. I'm not sure what for I hoped happened. I don't have ANY experience with magic, though I've been reading off this website for years, with excitement!
I mixed up some different ingredients and burned it over a red candle while chanting something about love, as it burned I felt a ball of warmness and positive energy inside of me. after burning I dumped it into a bowl of water and as it hit the water something happened, I have this feeling in me, I'm not sure if its good or bad, I think it's good.
I don't know exactly what for I'm posting this, I guess I just wanted to share what happened.
If you take anything away from this experience it should be not to attempt anything without knowing what you are doing. I don't know everything but I know that is rule number one.
If you do not have any experience wtih magick. Then you shouldn't be casting any spells until you have learned the basics and you dont really stop learning them they come in handy for when you might need them for references. Always learn your basics first before doing any spell casting.
Without all the facts [like the items you used or if you change energy] I can't say for certain, wait one moon cycle and observe. Go about your daily life but keep a journal with you, if you feel, hear, see anything out of the ordinary, write it down [example, you had a desire to take the long way to school, or your neighbour bought a bleeding heart bush] I feel you did alright for your first cast, now just forget and move on. Worrying could effect the spell or cause you to attract negative energy.
If you don't know what you were doing at the time of doing it, then what you did was nothing more than raise energy.
If you are just saying "I don't know what I did" but you know exactly what you chanted and focused on the meaning and words of the chant, then that is an indication of what you did.
I would suggest not throwing together rituals like that in the future because if it involves deities, lwa, "spirits of" etc. you may find yourself in big problems. For instance, nearly all "hoodoo" is connected to a specific spirit that likes specific things and if you don't do it exactly as they like, it is believed that...well, bad things occur. If this ritual did involve an outside entity, then I retract my statement and suggest you do some serious apologizing and offerings as soon as possible.
