Will this spell work if your old lover is now with someone else?

a very powerful wiccan once told me that magical love is unnatural and turns bitter over time. she told me that she only used love magic twice and both times she lost someone who she loved dearly because they didn't truely love her.

Think about it-Why is that person your ex? What made you part ways? Do you really want to bind that person to you with the grief you've already suffered by being with them again? Think logically-it's an un natural love to put a spell on an old flame just to suit your lonliness or comfortability factor. There is someone out there for each of us. It just takes time. Don't resort to spells to bring an old flame back to you-that is a path fraught with many side effects. When the time is right-your soul mate will come to you. The path of life is to go forward-not back.

That still doesn't answer the question....I think it should be up to each individual to risk the way things will happen if they use a spell.

I myself have been looking at these "bring back a former relationship" spells. I have asked myself many times what I did to cause the relationship to fall apart.

True, I don't want to make her miserable, but I want the second chance. I'm hoping to use this spell not to force her to be with the old me, but to get the chance for her to be with me now that I have seen my errors.
