are curses bad?

ok ok yes this seems like a trivial question that a child would ask but im am genuinely curious about this. Ive always had a belief in karma (not to mention my grandma instilled this rule in my head as a kid) and there for have never used any power i have to harm others in anyway shape or form!

but im beginning to wonder isn't it ok to send back what someone gives to you? For example is it not ok to curse someone whos abusive or cruel to you and others? Well curse might be a pretty rude way of putting it i guess,
but basically i really wanna get a bit of revenge on them and show them how life can be turned on anyone in a moments notice.

id like to hear other witches (or whatever you call yourself) opinions on this issue itd definatly put my mind at ease.

its really all a matter of opinion, if you feel it right to curse someone who has done bad go for it.

the only time I use a curse if someone has done me wrong like threaten my life

Largely it depends on your morality/ethics, and your theology.

Some people believe in karma (or at least a simplified westernized version of it, which is very new age), neopagans/neowiccans believe in a threefold law (what you put out returns threefold), others don't believe in either.

I personally do occasionally curse those that I feel are deserving and do me serious wrong. I don't believe in the neowiccan threefold law, or karma. And I've found curses are quite effective in my personal experience.

A curse is neither good nor bad. How you use it is. To grow a garden, you have to not only put out the water and fertilizer, but also kill the weeds and inscects that would eat it. When a curse is used on someone who is harmful to protect yourself or others, then it is good. It is bad when used on those who don't deserve it.

Opinions are opinions, you could say curses are "whatever" really. The intentions of the practioner sending out the spell is his or her's intentions. Who are we to judge what is good or bad?
