Why the spells that we make work for us but don't work for others???

This is probably due to the connection between yourself (the maker) and the spell, we can add things that are meaningful to us and we can add items such as herbs and crystals that are more potent in our area or that we already own, these things can set a handmade and premade spell apart.

Plus a lot of premade spells are a little fantastical to really work in real life.
