Mirror spells.

A friend of mine recommended a spell, well, they informed me of a technique to use to repel bad energy. I was told to utilize the tool but to create my own ritual. I came across another person that blatantly appalled the idea of this technique. The technique involves mirrors. The idea is that you send the 'bad energy' back to the person. This one particular spell involved two mirrors. My question is, I received flack on this by this one person and the other person said that defending yourself is necessary sometimes but it was my own decision based on my morale following. What's the general consensus on mirror methods for sending energy back? I was okay with this at first, but now people are making me feel paranoid about it. According to some, mirrors are dangerous tools. Also, there are conflicting methods of disposal, some suggest breaking the mirror once it's done and others say bury it. What's the scoop?

I think regardless of the tool, or ritual your doing, the confidence of your intent should trump any frowned upon opinions. Listen to your intuition, you'll know if it feels wrong or not. With that been said, I have only known one mirror spell, and it suggested breaking it, but making sure, it was reflection side down (so it's not facing you).
