When I was younger I would see a figure that looked like a monk with black robes. For all but one occasion, it had its hood up and would stand in corners watching me. However, there was one night I saw it without its hood on. It sat on my bed and peered over me before removing its hood. Its face was that of a corpse, and in place of eyes it had dark sockets with a glowing sky blue light. After that it started getting physical and actually scratched me once.
Whatever this was, the spirit I met shortly after I started seeing this thing taught me how to get rid of it, and I haven't seen this being in about seven or eight years since I got rid of it. I am curious to what it was though.
If you have any clue as to what this is, please let me know.
You're describing one of the classic representations of death, though I don't remember ever reading anything about death scratching people. Whatever it was may have been using that form to make you uncomfortable though.
I had a same kinda thing but instead of a spirit teaching me how to she just banished the thing (looked not like the monk... Tho the hood is in common)
I have woken up with scratches in my times of darkness and have had similar visions of this. Along with these traits, they came with violent dreams, night terrors, hallucinations etc. I actually recently saw a hooded figure walk by my room as I had awakened. I will give you a little bit of what I learned from this experience. From research with dark entities I have read they tend to mark individuals with scratches especially in hard to reach places. The reasons are unclear, the spirit research foundation say it's to insert dark energy. An adept leftish practitioner friend of mine says it's their way of branding who they are attaching to or influencing or bonding too. He also theorizes that they do it as a terror tactic, to let you know they are there. The more your focus is on them, the more you likely fear them, the more you fear them, the more power you give them, the more power you give them, the more dangerous your situation gets, (depending on that beings motive.) Some information to look into, to finding out what this thing is. Is there a dark aspect of you in your life that you are ignoring or suppressing or starving or overfeeding? Do you have a dark pleasure? How do you feel when you see this thing? Does it appear to you as you awake? Before you fall asleep? As you are doing a task? If it appears to you as you are awake, try to recall the dream you had, and how you felt about it. Also what did the other spirit say to get rid of it?
Armus, that is almost identical to what the spirit who taught me how to get rid of it told me. He taught me how to starve it off, and how to show that I knew it had no power over me.
He told me they would only have as much power as I gave them. He instructed me not to show fear around them nor anger, and that if I felt afraid to think of something that I felt brave enough to protect and love. He told me not to think about them or pay them heed, and in the last dream that I had with them, he instructed me to command them to leave for they had no power over me.
He came to me, not the other way around. I guess he knew I would need help in a lot of aspects in my life because about a year after I met him everything started hitting the fan. Father walking out on my sister and me, my mom getting a divorce on her exhusband, moving, my grandfather passing, depression, and before all this started the entity made itself known. He's done a lot for me and helped me through my worst, so I don't mind being there for him when he wants someone to talk to or making an offering if he asks for one.
The offerings he asks for are warm food and hot beverages, so it's not difficult to make.
