Herbalism

Now, I read about Herbalism in the Articles Section, but I want to know if theres anything Major, Important or just plain simple I should know, I will continue to do research but if you know anything not often mentioned or is a myth feel free to let me know. Thanks for the help. (Sorry its so long).

I would research each item before you use it to make sure it's not poisonous.

Also, don't overstock on herbs. Keep on hand the ones you use most, grow them if you can, and build from there.

Be sure not to ingest anything before checking it's not poisonous and that you're not allergic. Chamomile for example can help with colds but can kick up rag weed allergies/hayfever. St. Johns Wort is great for relaxation but can have terrible effects on your kidney, liver and cause night terrors [among other problems] If you take too much or already have a history of these ailments. While you don't need to check everything with your doctor it might be wise to have an allergy test or check if you start taking something like St. John's Wort.
