protection or binding

I am new at casting spells this will be my first spell.
I feel scared and sick but I have to cast protection spell
around me and my family. Someone is using black magic against me.
I feel it. I don't know what to do. I don't know how bad it will get or if I can change the outcome. since I have no clue as to who it is that is casting I cant do a binding spell. If someone could give me a heads up as to how to do a simple protection spell without screwing up that would be awesome

For me, if someone is using black magick against me, I would do a protection sigil for myself and my family.

You can spray holy water in every corner of your home, including closets, saying that whatever negativity is affecting your family must leave. Another way is to envision a cord of magic attaching itself to you that represents the black magic and visualizing a knife cutting the black magic away from you. You can do the cord thing buy using a real string and cutting it two, saying that the black magic has no effect on your family.

Several ways you can handle the situation :) All of these have worked for me, but the spraying of holy water in my home has had the best effect. Good luck to you!

you can join a coven and ask your high priestess or priest to help with the protection for you and your family. lavender candles and ask Mother Earth to protect you and yours.
