Casting using music?

I was wondering if it was possible for someone to cast a spell using musical instruments?
Example: John Doe plays a little tune on his flute, and a healing spell was cast.
If you still don't understand, try this one:
Link played the song of storms! It starts to rain.
Is this a thing? Or am I just a dreamer?

Music can be, and often is, sung with intent and energy behind it. So as long as the spell is reasonable, sure. It could be done.

Like what Rhisa said, so long as it's kept within physcially possible boundaries then there shouldn't be much of an issue.

A musician could very well direct and compose a pice that would swell and create a tonal symbolism to cast a spell. Anyone who has sat through a symphony recognizes the power behind music to inspire and electrify the audience. A caster could use music to gather, focus, and imbue intention into energy and release energy to perform a goal. It is very possible and worth exploring.

Some other uses of music:

-Trance work

-Deity work

-Meditation

(The list goes on)

Being a composer/musician myself, I have composed music that does contain certain intents behind it. Even if one does not compose music, such energy can flow with a piece that calls your attention. Lets use Haydn's Quartet in G major (Op. 76 No. 1) as an example. According to Christian Schubart (in Ideen zu einer Aesthetik der Tonkunst (1806) ), G major is the key of true and faithful love, thus allowing one to give off an energy of attraction if they choose to do so. On the other end of spectrum, Tchaikovsky's 4th Symphony in F Minor can give off an energy of funeral lament, and make one feel depressed if performed with such intensity that it can move the audience into tears.

However, not every piece will be performed with the same ideas or intentions behind it. So I would suggest to listen to as many pieces (or songs if classical music is not of interest) and see how you would put intent behind it to fit your desires/moods.

Yes you can use the sound ; this is called "exterior silence" Since it keep you in a relaxed and suitable state to work on the magical intent.
