Hey guys!
Last night i had the worst dreams. But one in particular got me thinking, it's super weird ( and was terrifying )
So it starts out as i'm on a boat jetty, in the middle of a swamp-like lake. The trees are very viney and overgrown, and the lake was a murky blue-ish green. Very cloudy water.
As i turned around, i saw a group of 'kitsúné' in the water ( for those who don't know, this is a god-like japanese fox, they are highly regarded and known to help humans ) so i started to walk towards them, half submurged in the water. Then one of them grabbed me and was pulling me through the water fast. I was terrified but i felt like i was safe, i thought it was taking me somewhere nice.
But instead it took me deeper into the swamp and left me in a reed basket half submurgered in the water, with eels at the bottom of it . I was terrified, i was almost drowning and everytime i tried to get out, my head was pushed back down by rope... i was woken by my alarm in the end.
Does this mean anything? I mean it might not, but it got me thinking... thanks
I'm kind of begginer at dream analysis, but my and my mother usually alanyze eachother's dreams.
I think the dream means you are having a hard time, and to brace your self, because you are about to face the worst of it(you got deeper in the sawmp later),but you got help(kitsune).
actually, kitsune's are tricksters. there are many tales of kitsune shapeshifting into woman and marrying men. of course there are those who see them as helpful. some even worship them as deities or demi-gods. [so for this reason i would interpret the kitsune from your personal view]
swamps represent the hidden aspects of yourself, basically the shadow aspect you keep hidden or refuse to acknowledge. kitsune's are foxes with spiritual powers, foxes in dreams can represent a sly person you know, but it can also represent isolation. being underwater is usually symbolic of emotions and your emotional state. being trapped in the basket can represent things you're holding onto for whatever reason. the eels as well can sometimes represent an inability to hold onto things [as well as a fear of commitment or a metaphor of someone who is 'slippery as an eel'] being trapped is usually the result of a waking life issue [feeling trapped in a relationship, job, health situation] it can also be emotional turmoil, which goes along with drowning and feeling terrified. these are all symbols tied to either an emotional issue you most likely suppressed, or a waking relationship you're trying to hold onto [it doesn't have to be a romantic relationship, could be a friendship] many of these symbols are are representative of phallic symbols [Freud-Freud] and rebirth, specifically emotional. [example, if in your waking life you are working on becoming more in touch with your emotions, or perhaps some other form of 'self-help' self improvement]
