Telepathy with Familiars?

While I was doing research, I found something particularly interesting. People claiming to be able to communicate to their familiar spirits through telepathy. If my previous experiences told me anything, the super chill and outstanding is usually false(such as vampires. I wish I could turn into a blood sucking bat :( ) and I am curious if this is another example of this over exaggeration of magick. I could have just asked if telepathy with familiars is possible, but I like to be wordy.

I would think it would depend on the familiar. There can be different types of them, they may send you a message through your thoughts or such, but I'm not exactly sure.

A familiar is an energetic being created by the magic user to accomplish specific actions. Since it is a creation of the magic user then it would only make sense that the magician could communicate with his/her own creation.

I can tell you first hand that you can communicate with them in this way but it isn't as glamorous as it seems. Most of the time it isn't in words but pictures and feelings more then actual telepathy. Sometimes you may get a word but it will only be words you demonstrate the meaning of since they don't speak human languages normally. This is an animal familiar im not sure about other types. But this is my connection to my python.

It has always depended on the strength of the bond between caster and familiar, with myself. I've reached the point of deep enough connection that I can receive pictures, some simple words, and feelings/urges/emotions from my familiars.
