When people are astral projecting, they're really focused right? If a person sees you, is it possible for the person to see you as they remember you? Like they don't know what you look like now so they see what you used to look like? Confusing a little sorry. One more thing you astral project where you want to go or where you subconscious wants to be? Just trying to get a better grasp of it. thank you.

Much like auras, when an individual is viewing something metaphysical, they tend to do so through their own sort of 'filter'. For example, if I wear red glasses and you wear blue, I'm going to see the world differently to you.

What that means is, people see things in a manner which they can comprehend it. Therefore, if they've only seen the younger you, it's likely that is what they'll see. Or, they see an older version that's not quite accurate, but gives them the information in a way they can understand it. It will be based entirely on how they view you in their own mind.

That's not to say it's imagination, it likely isn't. More that everything is energy, but filtered through ourselves, it takes a shape we can interpret.
