Summon a Familiar Spell

Hey, im sorry if this isn't the place to ask for help or even to post this kind of Thread, but im doing it anyways
Im new to Magick, and its mostly because im curious
I've seen a lot of Spells and none of them seem truly interesting or even real, except for this one: http://www.spellsofmagic.com/spells/spiritual_spells/conjuring_spells/22989/page.html
Its about summoning a Familiar, and it looks good, my questions are these
*For me, a completely Noob in Magick, is it good to start with a spell of this rate?
*Should i start with something else, maybe another spell, or maybe some study?
I would ask privately to the person who posted this, but i dont even know how to
Im only asking you, pro's?, to answer me those questions, i don't want easy paths, i don't want you to instruct me on how-to do stuff, ill accept recommendations, if you please you can recommend me where i can study, and get some knowledge in this

I would always suggest a beginner to steer clear of spells till after they have a good foundation of knowledge, mainly because spells require more knowledge than simply reading some words.

Before even considering spells regarding familiars it is important that you learn a bit about the subject, what is and is not a familiar, how can you realistically gain a familiar, what can and can't they assist with, will any spell on this site actually help me with familiars?

In this situation, the original poster of the spell is no longer a member of the website so you can't ask them anything about their spell. If their username is black rather than yellow, they are no longer on the website.

I've recently written a post on Familiars, what are they, what do they do and how to 'find one' it should help you clear up any ideas you have about them.
