Spirit Guide Questions

I was just about to meet my spirit guide through a guided meditation and right before I was about to turn around, I was riddled with fear and when I turned around I didn't get to see it because I was awoken and ever since (this was ten minutes ago) I have been shacking. Was I just super nervous, or is it a sign or what?
