I've started to notice a lot of these spells and rituals use materials not available or unknown to me. Can someone please give me lessons so I can better my knowledge and experience?
Well the usual materials or components I for spells are candles, string, wands, bells, sage and other herbs etc. although many spells call for much more than these. I would reassert some of the articles on this site, and other sight on witchcraft and the occult. Here are a few websites that may help you:
If you are serious about magic, spells shouldn't be your first thought, you should be wanting to learn more about magic, so that you are not confused or have less likely chance of being confused later. There is so much about magic that is overlooked or passed by fully because of television shows and movies. I would like to clear a little bit of this up with you, and then you can easily find some helpful information in the General Info on the Forums.
Magic isn't anything "fancy" like you see on Charmed, Supernatural, ..etc. but doesn't make it any less mystical, magic is apart of our everyday life, whether we use it knowingly or unknowingly. There is so much we can't do with magic, in which then kind of turns some people from it. You can't alter your features, you can't transform yourself physically, you can't cast the elements, ..ect. There is an intire list of things you can't do with magic.
Most spells on here are 99.9% not real, there is only that 1% that is actually genuine. That is why we recommend when you start creating spells, you do it from your own thoughts and intent. The misconception when it comes to casting spells, is that spells need words, no, they don't, the words are like directions to help narrow your thoughts to what you want, nothing more, you can easily do a spell without any words.
Another misconception is, people like to think spells will happen right away, no, anything to do with casting, isn't exact and may not happen within a day, it may happen in many moon cycles or more, it may not happen at all, there is many factors to look into before casting the spell. Is the spell real, does it contain my intent, did I explain my wishes within the spell, did the objects I use make sense in this spells and so much more.
When adding words to a spell, you want to be specific on what you want done, otherwise you can easily mess up yourself and the spell may not work, or the spell may fire back. Giving you a negative reaction, feeling severly drained or sick to your stomach is one of the most commonly causes of a spell firing back.
