To dispose of tarot deck?

I've had this deck of tarot cards for the last three years however yesterday my mother spilled coffee on some of the cards (wither it was on purpose or accident i'm not sure) so the deck is not usable anymore so how do I properly dispose of them, is there like a certain way I have to do it ?

I would suggest burying it. A lot of magical items can be disposed of in this way.

I don't use the tarot but unlike a Ouija board i've never heard of any special way of disposing of them. You may channel energy into them but it's not as if they are a portal like the board that needs to be properly sealed. You could always cleanse them prior to disposing of them and if you wanted a bit of ceremony you might burn them.

some people cut the borders or do other things to thier cards. Let them dry, maybe they are still useable. Did the images fade or otherwise mess up? maybe they look better with a brownish tint? just a thought.

Oh I feel sorry for you. It seems a shame to lose a deck that you have developed a relationship with over the last three years. I don't do much with tarot so you may not have the same attachment to them as I would, generally I like to feel as if the tools I am using are an extension of myself. I am a writer and when I have a pen that runs out I get a little sad in knowing that pen has all the knowledge of what I have written with it.
I would love to hear that you held on to them and they became a secondary deck that you use for special reasons, but I would think the ceremony for burial would be the best if you are looking to dispose of them. At least you would be returning them to the earth!

As long as you dispose of them in a ceremonial way, such as burying them, it will be fine.

I agree with the burying. I did so on a previous deck that was extremely worn out and falling apart.
