Okay i need advice. A couple years ago magick sparked my interest and i decided to comit to it but i couldn't and didn't know where to start. And now two years or so latter i still havent found a source i can trully trust to commit to the art and my interest and commitment has not wavered or decreased but posibly increased. I ask if anyone may have an idea where i could start and where i could get the resources to learn of that of magick
( i would like to add that i know books may be a good place to start but would also like to know where i could get such books for i am pretty sure i cant just go to the public library and find one, i also do not have acces to online shoping for i do and perfer to do all my shopibg in cash)
The articles here are a great place to start. They're full of general knowledge, and can answer pretty much anything in broad strokes. As far as specific questions, take a crack at the forums. Actually many libraries do carry books on magic, so that might be a good place to check out.
There are also a number of good books on magic that are available on-line.

The Dewey Decimal System is used to put books on the same and similar topics in the same area of the library. Here's the classificatoin for books on magical subjects:
133 Parapsychology & occultism
133.1 Ghosts/ Supernatural
133.3 Prophecies
133.4 Witchcraft/ Black Magic/ Voodoo
133.422 Satanism
133.5 Zodiac Astrology
134 Not assigned or no longer used
135 Dreams & mysteries
135.3 Dreams
Fiction will be in an entirely different area of the library.
A lot of the chain bookstores like Books-A-Million have a spirtual section as well that sell books on wicca and witchcraft from what i have seen. Not certain how well smaller bookstores would be stocked. A library woul be a cheaper way to go onviously but if yours dont have such a section you might checkout your local bookstores. As stated this website is a great resource tool with many knowledgeable members to give advice and there are other free sources of information on the internet, though you have to take some of the information presented oline with a grain of salt.
