I would like to ask what will happen if you use a spell either for good or bad, if you missed or jumbled some words or phrase?
Will the spell take effects or will backfire?
Also, can you repeatedly use a spell to the same person?
And, can you cast a spell even if you are not trained enough to do it?
I was searching for some articles here about these, but cant find any. Hope you can take spare me some of your time.
1. If you messed up the wording of a spell such as jumbling the words or phrases it is most likely that the spell will not work at all, or it might work in a way you weren't expecting or even that you didn't wish it to do. That's why it is so important to get the wording right.
2. Yes, you can use the same spell on a person more than one time.
3. You can try to cast a spell even if you have no training or experience in spell work but it almost certainly won't work if you do it that way.
This might be helpful to you. It's something I wrote on the basics of spellwork:
If you're serious about learning how to do magic and with starting from the rock-bottom then you don't start out by casting spells, you start out by learning how and why magic works.
You see, there is no such thing as an "easy" spell or a "beginner" spell. One either understands how magic works and has mastered the basics...in which case the magic will work..or you haven't done that sort of work..and no spell will work no matter how "easy" it seems.
Casting a successful spell involves much more than finding some spell on the internet or in a book, saying some words, lighting a candle, waving a wand of any of that sort of thing. In order for magic to work you need to understand how and why it works in the first place. Grounding and centering, visualization, focus and intent, energy manipulation, etc are all necessary first steps to even begin to have a chance at a spell actually working...and more importantly to prevent a spell from back-firing on you.
So, my advice for anyone who is truly serious is to start by reading a few books and practicing the exercises those books will give you. Once you have mastered the basics you won't need anyone to give you spells, you'll be able to create your own spells that will be far more effective than anything you find on the net. Here's the books I suggest:
"Before You Cast a Spell" by Carl McColman
"Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar
"The Veil's Edge" by Willow Polson
"Modern Magick" by Donald Michael Kraig
And the following links in this thread will also help you learn the basic skills necessary for effective spellwork.
The only difference of opinion I have with Lark's eloquent reply is 1. If you messed up the wording of a spell such as jumbling the words or phrases i t is most likely that the spell will not work at all, or it might work in a way you weren't expecting or even that you didn't wish it to do. That's why it is so important to get the wording right. I agree for the most part though I'm not so certain mispronouncing or miss-speaking will result in failure. I believe wording is important as it helps concentrate your mnd on your goal yet when studying magick one of the key basics is visualization. You're meant to visualize the outcome of the spell and focus your mind on your goal, so I believe if your mind was on the correct outcome despite your words being incorrect then the spell has a fair chance of working as originally intended. I would of course attempt to recite a spell as accurately as possible but I feel your intent/foucs is the most important aspect.
