Language of spells

Merry meet all. I know it doesn't matter what language you write your spells in, most commonly when people choose to write their spells in another language many would choose Latin. However yesterday afternoon I wrote a spell and thought it was very written, I like having my spells rhyme so it raises more energy more easily. I know it's not a requirement for spells but for me it's a personal preference. So yesterday afternoon I thought I'd try something different (slightly). I keep everything about the ritual the same. Circle casting, calling the elements, invoking the aspects of the horned god and the moon goddess I enjoy working with, the whole usual thing you'd do for setting up a ritual. All expect for the spell (chant part). The words were kept the same I just said them backwards. I'm not going to write the spell out because I don't want to share it on the forums, nothing personal, I just don't feel comfortable with it. So for an example if you were to say "stop" in a spell, it would be "pots" because pots is stop backwards. The energy that was raised felt different than the other spells I've done with saying he words how they are normally spoken. It was a good different though. It felt stronger. I did everything your supposed to do for a spell, visualizing and focusing on intent and everything. I'm asking a series question and I know he saying that "thoughts are energy and words are power" which is what made me want to try doing this spell this way. If anyone has ever tried this or has any information on his topic that would be great, as I'm looking to see if I could do this for other spells?

If it helps you further the purpose of your spell or ritual, there isn't anything stopping you from saying the words backwards. After all, they are just words, another vessel through which you put your intent into your work.

I remember a section in "Modern Magick" where the author talked about saying the Lord's Prayer backwards. Not to connect with either the Christian god or devil specifically, but to simply put a conflicted practitioner's mind at ease about performing magic. And I have heard of some former Christians turned pagan doing the same thing to "sever their bonds" with their former religion.

There is no language barrier when writing spells and people are actually encouraged to be creative when making spells that suites their personality. Chants said backwards though may have far different effects than what you are expecting even if the thought is for the good. Doing it all the time may make things different than the usual in the future. I'll be careful there.

Words give spells magic by guiding the will of the user. This being said the way we perceive the words is reflecting in our will. If a word means something different to the caster then it does to the rest of the world the casters meaning takes precedence since they are performing the spell. If by them being backwards you believe the spell will be different it most likely will be. That being said, usually in flipping things we come to an opposite meaning. This is seen often in symbology. While this is the case that doesn't mean it wont have a different effect for you. A good way to experiment would be to do some small experiments and keep the results recorded in a Book of Shadows or other such tool. See how the change works for you.

Of saying the words of a spell backwards or that there are different ways to cast a spell? Or both?

Specifically saying each word backwards.

Just thinking....if you had the ability to record your voice,and then flip to,then learn it.I imagine you could perform your spell in that way too.
