In my experiences and practice, I believe there are nodes within the energy of the world. In this case, I'm talking about bubbles of energy placed strategically through Earth and the universes. When you step in one everything is limitless, tangible real. When looked at from the outside, it's spiritual. This is because they are placed in between ethereal and physical. Each one is a different universe/dimension all together but every one of them are connected over vast distances. This can be used to create limitless things, possibilities and even teleport!
Keep in mind, these are my experiences because I see them in my mind's eyes every day.

i am involved with a group that creates "nodes" intentionally and uses a similar definition and same terminology. The nodes are meant to anchor an alternate energy/ perception of reality to one geographic area by essentially evoking/ opening a portal/ vortex of said energy.
to go in a bit further, these nodes are strategically placed, as you mentioned. To effect the most change in people's energy (i.e. densely populated areas) and often recycle stagnant city energy into something more creative and individually inspired/ inspiring (art).
Like I said, keep in mind they are what I saw not fact. But can be proven through Einstein's theories. And, like someone said: "The world's wonders have to be proven to only closed minded people"
Nodes have a lot of parallels to magnetic ley-lines; lines of magnetic force that encircle the earth. there are places where these lines overlap or cross, and these places tend to be areas of higher than normal energetic activity. Historically, scientists have repeatedly noted that it is very common for monuments and other places of religious significance to have been built on such crossing points. For example, Stonehenge is one of the larger places where, if memory serves (i am too lazy to look it up right now) three separate lines cross. Several ancient pyramids are also built in similar areas in Egypt and south america.
Ley lines and nexus points might be a nice avenue of research if you are looking for scientific overlap with places of power.
I disagree to an extent. While the topics are not entirely the same, they are pretty similar in concept, process, and function. At least for me to see them as related enough to draw a comparison.
In this case, the concept of a gathered or focused energy point creating a heightened level of presence that can be tapped into for use. And also a historical overlap of the locations of documented crossings, and their localized relationship to religious places, monuments, and areas considered to be spiritually charged or potent. To me that sounds similar to the ideas of nodes as being presented here. (Bubbles of energy in specific locations that can be tapped in to and drawn from as places of power)
I will certainly concede that there is a critical difference in the comparison that spiritual energy can be changed and gathered to make places of power, where Magnetic lines would be much more difficult to have a similar effect. I usually account for this as a variety of the phenomenon. Like creating a temporary magnetic field by generating it through some means. (Like an E-M pump, a large magnet, or a constructed/fabricated environment.) Any area that can be induced with a magnetic field, through artificial or natural means, could feasibly overlap with the willful or consciously directed attempt to similarly produce,or draw and contain spiritual energy into a specific place.
In this event I am not saying that a person constructing a place of power is somehow producing a magnetic or other Em level change to the environment though. But just that the overall concept and mechanic are similar in function and process.
Though, I have heard of some of the things done to influence both at the same time. For example constructing portable pyramids of copper tubing and Peizoelectric crystals (IE; Quartz) to create a specific area of charge through conducting the present energy through the copper, generating energy through compression of the crystals, and shaping the field through the pyramidal shape of the copper. Then combining that with willful intent, meditation, and visualization to draw and retain spiritual energy as well.

I agree that currents of energy can be created in geographic areas, especially utilizing geometry and some sort of cycling current, not just linear. This is more or less what the group i know did but on a large scale (continental US).
I find these effective if you are only aiming your intent at the vibes and currents 'around' people, like atmospheric, everything, and not people directly as the target.
