Okay so contrary to what the title might imply, I'm not her to try to disprove magic and blah blah blah. I'm aware of what magic can do if done properly. Over the past few years I've begun to realize that magic and science are very much the same just don't from different perspectives due to religious discrepancies that caused a shift in how basic actions are viewed.
Lately I've been wondering if there's a way to finally combine the two, magic and science. I'm really curious about whether there's a way to calculate mathematically how magic and magical energy, other planes, etc. I'm really interested in physics and I've always wondered if things like dark matter and antimatter are simply magical energies that physicists and mathematicians are unable to calculate better and know more about simply because it isn't possible to "logically" (as in through scientifically proven research without the use of any spiritual intervention or view) learn more about it.
Because of this interest, I really want to figure this out and somehow mend the rift that has divided magic and science. I want to figure out a way to explain physics through magic and vice versa. If there's already magical mathematics that is capable of somehow describing magical energies as physics does, by all means let me know.
I'm welcoming all feedback. Agree or disagree, please let me know what you think. I want to see what others think on this topic and what they believe is possible.
I do find there are times when the ideas of magic, and the theories of science overlap. One basic overlap is the philosophy of spirit and Einstein's E=MC^2. Both have the basic premise that everything is energy at its root. It is the basic foundation of reality as we experience it both philosophically and scientifically.
Many basic philosophies of magic and spirit have been traditionally developed first by observing the activities of nature, then by working to learn from the patterns. Today with science entering into the ideas of Quantum physics it seems to be holding even more true than ever. Here are a few comparisons I have found...
-philosophy of habit, mental discipline, and meditation compared with the scientific studies of neuroplasticity.
-The power of human thought and will, and the research of the placebo effect and conscious will and attitude on the human body.
-The working of will in magic and intent, and the study through quantum physics and the use of probability to 'break' the rules of traditional physics.
-The philosophical perspective of the human power to change reality, and the scientific experiments of how simple observation changes the behavior of light and matter.

Re-posted to fix some typo's and grammar. ¬_¬
I deliberately mix the two terms. The online dictionary suggests - Science: The intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.
Magick: The Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will (at least according to Alister Crawley).
I find it's easier to focus on the limits of both. By that I mean know what both subjects can not achieve/explain.
Your mention of Crowley is interesting because from what I've seen and read about these two overlaps, he seems to pop up a lot and I also read somewhere about Enochian magic and Crowley's influence on it and it's system of magic. Do any of you know where I can learn more about this and/or whether or not it's helpful in what I'm trying to accomplish?
If anyone who sees this could please share with friends and post about what you hear or find interesting. This is something really important to me and I want as much input as possible.
Actually this really peaks my interest. I've been doing some research for you on the psychology side of science, and throughout history. In " History of People an Overview" by,Henryk Misiak from Fordham University, back in ancient civilizations such as Rome, ancient philosophers believed that there were three plains of existence. There are the Physical, Mental, and Spiritual Plains, and each were accessable by any living being. So it would not surprise me if there are many mysteries lost throughout time, but I'll hit the books and keep you posted... Well I'm SilverWolf and it's great to meet you!!!
Yeah I'd actually figured that out myself and theorized it quite a few years back but it's great to have it confirmed. Thank you for your efforts! I appreciate any help I can get with this! :)
