Mosquito hovering during

I was doing a love chant the other night in a dark quiet room with only a candle... or so I thought. During my chant the mosquito hovered near my face, ears, and legs (I was sitting crossed legged) but the insect did not land on me nor did he effect ability to say the chant. Is this some type of sign?

I wouldn't straight up conclude it was a sign. If your area has mosquitoes then the whole thing could have been coincidental. About the mosquito not biting, they tend to bite when you are focusing on other things or asleep

Interpretation of "signs" is always entirely up to the person believing to have received one. If you took it as a sign, figure out what symbolism it had for you. If you believe it is a sign, it was! Look up UPG, there are some great threads here on the subject.

And, as for the coincidence thing, I don't buy it.. Read The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. There is a movie, but the book is much better.

Alright so by my response I intended to answer to emi0220's question. I intended not to upset the one giving the next response. As soon as the UPG is mentioned the claim can not be verified. But I apologise you will have to 'buy the coincidence thing' Because on the other hand we know it is most likely that the insect was searching for a meal (survival is a natural law). Given you were watching it, it decided not to attack.
