What language to use?

What language should I use for spell casting? I like Latin and think it is most effective

Use what feels more comfortable to you. The words are for focus, to clearly focus on your intent, to help focus your will, and energy to the task or desired result. I know some that don't even like to use words unless for rituals. It is all subjective to what works best from person to person.

Exactly. Often I use the language I feel more comfortable... I have done spells both in English and in Spanish, which is my first language. As a celtic pagan, I'm also learning Irish Gaelic to pray and do spells and such in Irish.

That's a great topic. I personally say to use a language you feel more connected to, you dont have to be limited to one either. Latin, that's impressive?!!

I actually tend to mix languages a lot, especially in chanting. I like the idea of saying the same thing differently each time, refreshing my intent with each new phrase. It makes it feel like I'm approaching the working from different angles while still driving toward the same goal.

Although I am of Greek origin, I do cast my spell in English but all of my prayers are in Greek. For some reason, works great this way!

I use German, as I'm from Switzerland, and English, depending on which language has the better word to describe my intentions or my question if I'm doing divination.
But important is to be familiar with. I think I could not do Spells in Latin, because m knowledge of this language is too small. So I woud never be sure if I use every word as it is meant. Especially in Latin, where I know from school that one word can have not just a few but numerous meanings. So if you are not familiar enough with a language I would recommend not to use it.
