Questions About Wicca?
By:
Hi there, I put this here if anyone wants to know stuff about wicca. I have studied it for three years now, I am still learning more about successful spellcasting but I know plenty about wiccan beliefs and stuff. So if anyone has questions about that, feel free to ask!

And of course anyone can ask me questions about Wicca as well. I've been doing this for 37 years now. There is even a thread for you to ask me questions. Check out the thread "Ask a High Priestess" here in the Wicca Forum.

Well it's always good to get different perspectives. While one may have more experience, a person who is just starting out can give from the perspective of a new practitioner. Everyone has something to offer

Hi Justin,

Wicca is very much a religion with specific beliefs and practices.

It is recognized as meeting the definition of religion here in the US by the court systems. And the Veteran's Administration recognizes the pentacle as a symbol for Wiccan practtioners on the headstones of our military. In fact studies have shown that Wicca is one of the fastest growing religions in the US and several other countries.

@ Justin, i think you're thinking of witchcraft. witchcraft isn't a religion, it is a study with no deities, commandments, or any real holidays [some may observe times in the year, but as a 'the god is reborn' or 'the god dies' no they do not] Wicca on the other hand has deities, set days of observance [sabbats and esbats] and even rules [as loose as some may view them] witchcraft can be added to a path [such as Wicca] and while some add Wicca to other paths [Christian Wicca for example] it's actually taking the witchcraft elements and sometimes the threefold law from the Wiccan religion [hence why the correct term should really be Christian Witchcraft. but call your path whatever works for you] and not the key elements that make Wicca a religion [God and Goddess, holidays, ceremonies]
