Hello agian, this is the 3rd or 4th time I've posted somthing over the past few days..... I just have a lot of questions. So, if you havn't been keeping up with my posts, I'm in college and my dorm is right around the corner from Hollywood Blvd in Los Angeles. Anyways, like most dorms, the people living there are not allowed to do things like burn candels, sage, etc. However, (I just remebered this) my dorm does allow small plants. I've always liked plants and I want to incorperate them a bit more into my spells and rituals (I do white magic), any recommendations?
Thyme, parsley, basil, mint, oregano, coriander and lemongrass can all be grown indoors in relatively small areas of space. In fact many average herbs can be grown indoors it just takes a little research to find out which ones and how to make sure they can get proper care and sunlight.
Also Madi one thing to please remember when posting threads on SoM is to try to keep them in the correct categories so that people can access them easily and will not be confused while looking though them, also it probably makes it a lot easier on the moderators. I believe this post would go in the Herbalism category. If you're ever confused as to which category a thread goes in either put it in the misc. category or the one that seems closest, the moderators will fix it if it is incorrect.
Aloe is a plant that can be grown indoors I believe, it is great for luck, abundance and protection. It also does work as a great healing property when it comes to small wounds on the body, and is great for cosmetic uses like acne, and skin toning.
There are many different species of cactuses, but I'm talking about the general plant ( Cactus ) can be grown indoors and is great for banishing negative energies, also when incorporated with sigils... can enhance the properties of the cactus.
Bamboo is personally one of my favorites honestly, it's great for wishes, luck, breaking hexes and curses. Writing a wish on a piece of paper and placing a bay leaf and bamboo is great wishing spell (I've done it).
There are many more, and you can find some online or going to your local flower shop and finding the properties of that plant.
You don't have to use an indoor plant. Packaged herbs work fine as well in spells/rituals, without having to use incense/sage or any other burning materials.
